Niscemi is a city on Sicily in the
Province of Caltanissetta. It has 26911 citizens and spreads over a area of287 qkm.
The town Niscemi is situated on a hill between the Monti Iblei and the Monti Erei with a wide view over the plain Gela, which can be indulged best from Belvedere. That terrace was built in baroque style. In the town there are also lots of interesting churches as well as ruins of the antique town Nixenum.
