Province of Caltanissetta. It has 11354 citizens and spreads over a area of70 qkm.
The picturesque Mussomeli lies on the peak of a hill and is characterised above all by its snug lanes and close together built houses. A must-see, beside others, is a visit of the white stone built Santuario della Madonna dei Miracoli from the 16th century. Apart from this, not far from the town there is a beautiful village with old stone houses, called Castronuovo di Sicilia.
