Montedoro is a city on Sicily in the
Province of Caltanissetta. It has 1781 citizens and spreads over a area of127 qkm.
The little town Montedoro lies on the foot of the Monte Croce near the river Gallo d’Oro and was founded in 1635 by the Duke Diego Aragona Tagliavia. The main attraction is the parish church, which stems from the time of the formation of the township and was enlarged during the 18th century.
