Ribera is a city on Sicily in the
Province of Agrigento. It has 19723 citizens and spreads over a area of118 qkm.
Ribera is situated on a hilly landscape close to the coast and is the native town of the politician Franceso Crispi, whose birthplace is one of the main attractions of the town. You can also find here the 14th century Castle of Poggio Diana. Last but not least, in Ribera there is the nature reserve of the river mouth of Platani with its unique flora.
